But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41,42
Martha came to her time with Jesus with all sorts of concerns and frustrations which she needed to just lay at Jesus' feet. Mary chose to lay them down and sit at His feet to listen and learn. Often, when we claim to "get nothing out of the sermon", it is because we have been more like Martha than Mary. Let's all see what we can take away today that cannot be taken away - God's word planted in our hearts and lives.
