Daily things...

Give us each day our daily bread,
 and forgive us our sins,
for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation.”
(Luke 11:3-4 ESV)
Looking at this short list in Luke's version of the Lord's Prayer, it is amazing how with only a few things to remember, we often leave out more than one. (I can even remember three things, maybe four at the grocery store for a few minutes without a list, usually...) Daily bread is easy - we get hungry. But daily asking forgiveness for particular sins?  And daily taking time to forgive others (so we do not let the sun go down on our anger)?  And daily asking for God's protection and armor lest we fall into more sin and lack of forgiveness?  Jesus's battle with temptation did not end when he left fasting in the wilderness, and neither does ours.  Daily we need him to talk with Him about all these things.
