24 Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you. (I Samuel 12)
This monumental statement by Samuel at the installation of King Saul is repeated a few other times in scripture. There are numerous - even daily occasions for us to pause and consider all the great things God has done for us. When we do, it makes sense for us to reverence and serve Him. As we begin our day and week, may we pause, consider, give thanks, and set our hearts to trust Him, make decisions and take actions that show we are living life in His gaze, and that it is a good thing.
