Psalm 96
1 Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!
4 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

We talked not that long ago about the importance of singing new songs, not just our favorite ones. There is one theme that we should never tire of singing about: the wonder of God's creation. There is a consistency yet a variety in His wonderful creation that should cause us to stand in wonder, yet feel safe and secure. When we pause, step back, and take a fresh look at what He has done, we should have this reminder that God is in control. All the false idols of this world, and those who follow them, should not make us fear, because our God is the Great God. Today, take a fresh look, and sing a new song.
