1 Chronicles 28:20 Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.
Courage is something we are to seek and to seek to pass on. Neither comes all that naturally. We tend to avoid discomfort, rather than facing it head on, and we tend to neglect those things that are important. David did not want Solomon to miss his greatest calling, and he know that for that calling he would need courage from The Lord. He sought to pass on the best he could his own love for God. This too is not genetic, but it can be caught. May we be infectious in our love and courage.
