23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
I Thessalonians 5
Paul is concluding this encouraging letter to this group of believers. As he does, he has pointed them forward - looking in confidence for the coming again of Christ. His coming is not something to be feared, but anticipated; it should not make us hide, but point us in pursuit of holy purity - wanting to be that ready bride when He appears. God is able, faithful and trustworthy to keep on working toward that end in our lives. When we know that, and live by that, we will have peace, contentment, and confidence in our lives. He will do it.
