1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Here John summarizes his point: If God has loved us so much that He sent His Son to give Himself in our place when we did not deserve it, then the natural response, prompted and powered by His Holy Spirit, is for us to mimic such sacrificial love toward one another. Call it "pay it forward", loving back, being grateful - a hundred more things... it only makes sense that we would respond to God's love by loving others in the family He has brought us into. So simple, yet such a seeming struggle for us to put it into practice.
