1 John 4:9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
Show and Tell is always the best and fastest teacher. Christ came not just to talk, but to show the Love of God for us, to make the way for real life. He is the way to life, so it would make sense that we should follow Him in this life and into the next. His way is characterized by love. As we follow Him we see Him constantly stopping, investing His life in others, at His own expense. It's really not a hard concept; we just tend to go off on selfish side streets. We take our eyes off of Jesus as He makes His way down the crowded "straight and narrow" street of love, and find ourselves going the wrong way. Let's follow more attentively today.
