The Holy Conversation....

Hebrews 1:5-6, 8, 10-12 For to which of the angels did God ever say,“You are my Son,today I have begotten you”?Or again,“I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”? And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says,“Let all God's angels worship him.” But of the Son he says,“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. And,“You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain;they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up,like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.”
To me, this is one of the most fascinating passages in thinking about the Triune God.  Jesus Christ is being set apart from the created angels: He is much more than SuperAngel.  Yes, He did appear in the Old Testament at times to bring a message, and yes, He was sent by the Father to bring the message of salvation to the earth in the flesh. But He is so much more. He is God the Son.  In this recorded conversation the Father refers to Him as God.  God (the Father) is talking to God (the Son), talking to Him about their creation activity together, and the Son's eternality.  Like the Father, He was always there and always will be.  Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God - just as much God as the Father.
