2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 
Talk about an over-memorized and under-applied scripture passage...
God has given us His Word to tell us about what is really important: our relationships, with others, and with life itself.  He tells us what we need to know, what we're doing wrong, how to do it right, and how to make relationships right.  Often we find ourselves thinking: "I'm not ready for this; I can't handle this," when life's biggest challenges come.  When we are with Him, in His word, we are much more ready, equipped.  Being in His Word is never a waste of time; we need more of His Word in us.
