Colossians 4:2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. 3 At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— 4 that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
We have seen so far that Christ is all that - He is awesome Creator, Sustainer and so much more! We then saw that He has done all that - all that needed to be done to accomplish our salvation. Thirdly, Christ will do that - that which He promised to do: return to take us to Himself. Finally today, Christ is doing it now: He is very much at work: opening doors, watching over what we say and do, using people to impact lives and further the Gospel. What we need to do is willingly accept what He calls us to do in His plan. That requres that we pray, we watch our walk, we use our time and words wisely, and we love people to Him. Paul goes on with a long list of people through whom Christ was working at that time-fellow laborers in the harvest. We need to realize that what God wants to do in and through us is also in relationship to our fellow followers, all joining together in what He is doing.
