The first verse is a resounding truth appearing in many of the Psalms. You would think we would get the hint and heed the exhortation: Give thanks! God is good; He loves us and wants what is best for us. Each of us has a story to tell of His buying us back from doom and despair; each of us has a journey from darkness and death to life. This psalm goes on to give a few examples of those telling their stories. May we learn from others as they share their stories, and may we tell ours to encourage others as well.
