Freedom and Equality through Faith

23 Before the coming of this faith,[j] we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
(Galatians 3)
Law and Order. Now there's a phrase that stirs things up.  Without the law, the worst often comes out of people. But the law is not the goal in itself. The law is our imperfect guardian to protect us from ourselves (and one another) until we learn better, until we admit that we are sinners who need Christ within. When we trust in Him, through faith, we a freed from bondage to sin. That faith does not divide - it brings us together under Christ, the perfect Lord. We want to please and serve Him. We realize He knows and wants want is best for us, and gives us the grace and power to follow that path. Faith brings us into the family together, and family love and respect brings blessing to us all.
