Singing for Joy

Oh give thanks to the Lordcall upon his name;
    make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
    tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Seek the Lord and his strength;
    seek his presence continually!
Remember the wondrous works that he has done,
    his miracles, and the judgments he uttered,
O offspring of Abraham, his servant,
    children of Jacob, his chosen ones...

43 So he brought his people out with joy,
    his chosen ones with singing.

(Psalm 105:1-4,43)
Yes, I wake up almost every morning to a song, and it's not on the radio; it's in my heart and head. Most often it's a song of worship we have sung recently, but today it's the theme song from Sound of Music! (It's my wife's fault...) But that's okay! The musical has undertones of faith, and of worship similiar to that of the people of Israel when they had been delivered from Egypt. They came out singing, just as the Von Trapp family escaped from tyranny and came out singing.  I hope that God will have placed a song of deliverance, hope and celebration in your heart today.  If not, feel free to sing along...
