It keeps coming back to this...

26
In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence,
and his children will have a refuge.
27
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
that one may turn away from the snares of death.
(Proverbs 14:26,27)
  • This chapter is full of wisdom for every aspect of life; many of the sayings are classic and well-known. But the core of the book keeps coming out, surfacing throughout: The Fear of the Lord gives a confidence to living, to knowing that we are on the right path - that the choices we are making are the right ones, and we are getting from life what we are supposed to get. Sometimes decision are hard; life is hard. It makes one wonder if he/she is getting the purpose of it all, doing the right thing.  We can take refuge in God's wisdom, His Word, His will, to keep on going through the hard times.  Keep making turns in confidence - away from evil, and before the face of God.
