The Spirit, our Counsellor

Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
The Holy Spirit does so much for us - comforting, convicting, cleansing, giving advice.  He also is with us when we pray, and when we do not know what to say, He approaches the bench as our Counsellor to plead for us and speak for us.  Like many of the things the Spirit does for us, we tie His hands and fight against Him.  How can He intercede for us if we do not pray ourselves? He helps us; He does it with us, not without us.  So pray away; we are not alone.
