John 20:21-22 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
Jesus had promised the Holy Spirit would be sent, but He's not the only one being sent. He sent the apostles and has sent us out to proclaim the Good News. He has also sent us His peace as we so often are overwhelmed by the great need in the world around us. We forget that His news trumps the need. May we receive the call and the gifts He gives to carry it ou.
