“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. (John 16:12-14 ESV)
One of the big questions in the apostles' minds must of been: "How will we know what to do?" They had followed Jesus; now He was going away and leaving them with ministry. How would they know what to do? The Holy Spirit would guide them, and He will guide us. We can know what to do, when we need to know it. That's where we often balk - we want to know it all NOW. But they could not handle it all at once, and neither can we. In His time, in His way.
