They are always there when you need them: those members of the body who serve faithfully behind the scenes. People like John and Kraig, Margie and Ellie, Paula and Diane. They do those things that keep things going, without any public applause - paying bills, keeping records, looking over the books. There are countless more who clean the church when no one else is there to see, watch over the kids while parents focus on worship, and put together ministries that others carry out. They are the heart and guts of the Body. We don't see them and often don't appreciate them, but without them we die. Thank you Lord, for our "unsightly" parts.
I Corinthians 12: 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
