I Thessalonians 3:11 Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, 12 and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, 13 so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
Paul had a deep abiding love for fellow saints. Even when he wrote words of admonition or correction or strong rebuke, it was out of His Christ-like love. We see the depths of that love in benedictions and blessings like that above. First, he wanted to be with them; we naturally want to be with those that we love. Second, He wants those He loves to love one another. And thirdly, He wants what is really best for those he loves: a change within that only Christ can work, which reveals itself in holiness and joyful anticipation of the Great Reunion which will come when Christ returns. What a prayer of blessing to pray for one another - especially those we cannot be with physically now. Who can you pray this prayer for today?
