The Lord Said... God Spoke

6:1 But the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for with a strong hand he will send them out, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.” 2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am the Lord. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself known to them.

As we work our way through scripture examining "the God Who Speaks," we find that God at times says and other times speaks.  The record also interchanges the names God and The Lord as the One Who talks to us. These are not so much distinctions as they are representations of the depth of His character and the various ways He reveals Himself and His will to us. There is always more we have to learn about God and His plan for His people and this world.  We should always listen whether He says or He speaks. May we listen intently today by looking at His Word and turning our hearts to His Spirit.
