Judgment and Worship...

24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. (Romans 1)
Paul has just elaborated on the twin themes of the Gospel and God's wrath, which both shout about His holiness and righetousness.  Our tendency, as pointed out yesterday, is to ignore God, shun Him, and go our own way. We swallow the lies of Satan about Who God is, what He is like, and what He expects, and like him, make ourselves out to be gods and creators. In the midst of all this, Paul falls in worship of the true and living God. Even judgment for sin brings out the reality of who God is and how worthy He is of worship. It is He Who has made us and not we ourselves.  It is He Who will ultimately judge us, and not our petty comparision games. It is He Who is Lord of all; praise His name!
