And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus. (Acts 5:42 ESV)
Here Luke pauses for another short summary of what happened in the early church. It reads much like the end of Acts 2, with the followers of Christ publicly and privately teaching about Christ - that He is the Messiah come from God, that to that point they had missed Him, and that they needed to turn back, repent, accept Him as Messiah, and move on to follow Him now. In between the two accounts it has not been easy. They had been warned to remain silent, thrown in prison, and beaten. Yet they persisted in teaching Jesus. Even the first church scandal (Ananias and Saphirra) in this chapter did not deter them. They were on The Mission. Let's join them.
