Revelation 9:20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, 21 nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
As John describes the horrors of judgment that will come to the peoples of the earth for their rebellion against God, he pauses to look away from those being punished to look at the response of those who are not. They refuse to repent. They still chose to worship everything but God. They continue to live lives of blatant sin before God with no remorse. It seems insane because it is. When we see the end result of our rejection of God and rebellion against His will and word, then continue unchanged, how crazy is that? When we give anything or anyone else the worship on He deserves, what are we thinking? Are we at all?May we heed John's repetitive call: "Did I happen to mention: 'Repent!?!'"
