The Place to Be #12

Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Even though we are only through half of this letter from Paul to the Ephesian church, he erupts in a benediction of praise, entrusting both them, and himself, into the hands of God.  First, he reminds us of the very character of God as abundant in power and endless in resources to enable us to do what He is calling on us to do.  Second, Paul reminds them that God, through His Spirit, is at work within them - not just Paul, but the Ephesian believers as well.  Thirdly, Paul reminds us that this promise and blessing apply to us and every succeeding generation of Christ-followers as well.  It is God's plan - always has been, always will be.  God blesses us, uses us, and draws us into closer fellowship with Him and greater understanding as to what His Gospel plan is all about, for us, His Church, and this world.
