Getting to the core of Worship.

99 The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble!
    He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!
The Lord is great in Zion;
    he is exalted over all the peoples.
Let them praise your great and awesome name!
    Holy is he!
The King in his might loves justice.
    You have established equity;
you have executed justice
    and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt the Lord our God;
    worship at his footstool!
    Holy is he! Psalm 99:1-5

The Psalmist pictures God on His throne, reigning as He does over all peoples. He is not some tribal idol; He is so far above all others that it's like he is floating on the tip of the angels. His name is great, and his character is impeccable. Here the attribute that comes into focus is His righteousness, His justice. We can count on Him to do what is right. As with all His perfections, this leads us to realize that He alone is Holy, unique, altogether different from any other. HE alone is worthy to be worshipped.  Let us bow down before Him: Holy is he!
