Paul has been writing to a church that gave him a lot of grief. Despite all of his investment in them, and the many blessings God had poured out on them, they were acting very spiritually immature, fighting with one another, living for the flesh. Yet, Paul loved them, in Chirst. How could He still love them? By the Grace of God in Christ. When we truly experience and understand His grace in our lives, and truly want His Grace in others' lives, we have learned to love. Do we want Christ to come in to their lives and transform them for their sakes and for the glory of The Lord, or to make life easier on us?
