Your brother's (and sister's) keeper...

12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. (Hebrews 3)
Am I my brother's keeper? Or is her on his own?  In a culture of rugged individualism and selfishness, we often tend to think in terms of "Every man (or woman) for himself.  In God's culture, in His mind, this is no way to think.  We are to look out for one another - not to compare ourselves and point out their sin, but to point out the stumbling blocks and snares that they seem oblivious to or even drawn to.  We are responsible to watch out for one another.  In a world of private bathroom stalls and personal PINS, that does not come naturally. But in Christ, by the influence of the Holy Spirit, we have what we need, if we choose to do so. Let us choose today to love enough to exhort.
