Best Move Ever

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
The major event of our lives this past year has been moving to a new home in a totally different part of the country.  There has been a lot "new" to us: being homeowners, most of our living room furniture, different people, new doctors, and more!  New is exciting! But this "relocation" has not done away with all pain, crying, nor the death of those we care about. What we look forward to, after Christ's return, is that time and place when new means not just different or even better, but the best.  John goes on to share all the glory of the New Jerusalem.  There is not just a better temple, better utilities, and better city services, but The Temple of God's presence, with His glory lighting everything up.  There will also be many things that are not there: pain, sorrow, or death.  It will be the best move ever.
